Install Error

If I try to Install from Web in Joomla I get "Can't find Manifest"

If I install by uploading your package file I get: "BLOB, TEXT, GEOMETRY or JSON column 'custom_title' can't have a default value" Error installing module.

I'm uploading the lite version, I wanted to make sure it worked first before I buy the full version.

This is a Joomla 5.4.10 site running on PHP 8.3.36  MySQL DB 5.7.23-23 (Apache)

Hi Lydia,

Thanks for the report and for the clear details. You found a real bug.

On MySQL 5.7, one of our table columns used a setting that only newer MySQL and MariaDB versions allow. That is why you saw the “custom_title can’t have a default value” error. It stops the install on MySQL 5.7.

I have fixed it. Please test the attached file:  

How to install:

1. Go to System > Install > Extensions, then open the Upload Package File tab.
2. Upload the attached zip.
3. It should install with no error this time.

Please use this file for the test, not “Install from Web”. The “Can’t find Manifest” message is a separate problem with our web install link, and I am looking at it now.

Let me know how it goes. If it installs fine on your site, I will publish the fix for everyone.
